Catalogue, checkout and admin rebuilt and cut over live

What we built
  • Product catalogue
  • Checkout
  • Store admin
The problem

The storefront, the checkout, the customer data and the admin were all held on a rented legacy platform. Every year on it made the eventual move bigger, and none of it was in the owner’s name.

What we did

We rebuilt the catalogue, the checkout and the store admin, then cut it over live. The work that made the switch uneventful all happened before it — the new store was built and populated while the old one kept trading, and the staff were using the new admin before anything pointed at it.

The catalogue is organised by category rather than as one long list, because a souvenir shop is browsed by occasion and recipient, not by SKU.

It is also a real shop in Cathedral Junction, so the site carries that weight properly: opening hours, location, and the local provenance sit alongside the online catalogue instead of being buried in a contact page.

How it’s structured
  • Shop
Category-led browsing across a catalogue in the hundreds
  • Product detail
Rebuilt product pages feeding a checkout the business owns
  • Our Story
NZ-owned provenance, which is most of the purchase reason
  • Visit Us
Hours and Cathedral Junction location — it is a physical shop too
  • Store admin
Catalogue, orders and content, run by the shop rather than a platform
06 — Free audit, no obligation
